Kite ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and process your information when you use the Kite mobile application ("the App"). Kite is a creative content creation and inspiration discovery platform that allows users to create "voice postcards" (containing images, recordings, and text) and engage in limited interactions with other users on the platform.

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information:​ When you create an account using "Sign in with Apple", we receive a unique identifier generated by Apple. You may choose to share your name and email with us, but we do not store this information; it is used solely for initial account setup. You may choose to set a public display name and avatar within the app.
• Content Information:​ The content you create and submit to the platform, including photos, audio recordings, and text ("Voice Postcards").
• Interaction Information:​ Your actions on other users' content, such as "Likes" or "I Feel You".

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data:​ Information about how you interact with Kite, such as the features you use, content you view, taps/clicks, session duration, and general device information (e.g., device type, OS version).
• Log Information:​ Diagnostic logs to help us troubleshoot problems, analyze performance, and improve our services.

1.3 Push Notifications

If you choose to receive notifications, we need to process your device token to send you alerts about new content, interactions, or service updates. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the core features of Kite;
• Authenticate your account and ensure service security;
• Present personalized content to you, such as recommendations on the "Discover" page;
• Facilitate limited interactions ("Like", "I Feel You") between users on the platform;
• Communicate with you, including sending service notifications, responding to your requests, and providing customer support;
• Conduct research and analysis to understand how users use our services and develop new features;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

• With Your Consent:​ When you instruct us to or consent to the sharing.

• Deletion:​ To request deletion of your personal information. Please note that deleting your account will remove your profile and created content, but, by design of the platform, content you have "sent" may remain anonymized in the public pool.
• Restriction of Processing:​ To request restriction of processing of your information under certain circumstances.
• Data Portability:​ To receive a copy of the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format.
• Objection to Processing:​ To object to our processing of your information based on our legitimate interests.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. When you choose to delete your account, we will begin the process of deleting your profile and identifiable personal information. However, please note that to ensure the continuity of platform functionality (e.g., the "Discover" pool), your published, anonymized content may not be traceable for deletion.

6. Children's Privacy

Kite is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the higher age specified in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the device.

7. International Data Transfers

Our service operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
